Client

Location

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City (RMHC-KC) introduced its second Ronald McDonald Family Room. Seeing the need for families to be just steps away from Overland Park Regional Medical Center and its 70-bed Level III neonatal intensive care unit and the pediatric unit, which accommodates eight children, RMHC-KC decided to open another Kansas City-area Family Room to help support families in need.
CHALLENGE
- Design a donor wall that is clean and simple
- Work within a small budget
- Incorporate the RMH brand colors in a subtle way
Result: Heartfelt Appreciation
We collaborated with nationally renowned Hallmark Cards illustrator Lynn Giunta and her lettering artist husband, Guy Giunta, who crafted the wording for this heartfelt donor wall. Starting with an existing piece of art, Lynn adapted it to fit the shape of a hallway within the new RMHC OP Family Room, creatively incorporating donor names. The inspiration for this piece goes beyond its artistic beauty; it’s also a meaningful gift within the Giunta family. Lynn originally designed it for her mother-in-law after her husband passed away. The result is an incredibly meaningful experience within the RMHC OP space, designed to convey heartfelt appreciation to donors and anyone walking the halls.
